Malling Centenary is an early season June-bearing plant. The fruits are glossy red, juicy and have a delicious, sweet flavour. Malling Centenary produces firm fruits and therefore has low susceptibility to bruising, which ensures a good shelf life.

The flowers are large and produce attractive large fruits. Misshapen strawberries are very rare. In terms of production, the score for this variety is not as high, but because of the many class I strawberries, the Malling Centenary compensates well. The variety is susceptible to root diseases.
