Blackberry plant cultivation is a growing specialty at Thwan Van Gennip and the company has accumulated a large amount of knowledge and skills in this area. There is increasing market demand for blackberries due to the many health benefits delivered by the fruit. The plants are grown in 4.7 or 2.3-litre pots with 4, 5 and 6 canes per pot. As is the case with raspberry plants, we also use the V-frame system when growing the blackberry plants. The V-frame system ensures stronger bud development and highly productive plants.
