Aspalim

Aspalim is a 100% male hybrid that is extremely suitable for growing green asparagus in temperate climate zones. Aspalim starts producing very high yields very early.

Cultivation

Aspalim will grow best in well-drained, vital soils. In multi-year research the best green asparagus results were obtained with a plant density of 4 plants per linear meter and a planting depth of 15-22 cm. Aspalim starts producing asparagus with tight tips extremely early, and is therefore very suitable for advancing harvests.

Aspalim produces erect, open, uniform foliage that will remain green until well into autumn providing the right efforts are made to prevent Botrytis.

Product

Aspalim has a very high yield potential, an excellent quality and a very good spear thickness. Even under warm harvesting conditions, Aspalim has beautifully tight tips. It produces spears of an excellent thickness for many years. The cylindrical spears are also very smooth.
